Madison Opera | 2014-2015 Season
Beethoven’s Fidelio, about a noblewoman who disguises herself as a man to rescue her beloved husband; Sondheim/Wheeler’s Sweeney Todd, about a vengeful barber who murders his enemies, and his lady accomplice who bakes the corpses into meat pies; and Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, about two young lovers and a barber with a financial interest in their happily-ever-after. The seasons designs were inspired by these elements.

Madison Opera | 2012-2013 Season
Season of Temptation. Verdi’s A Masked Ball, a feast of hidden agendas; Handel’s Acis and Galatea, a complicated love triangle between a half-nymph, her beloved mortal shepherd, and a jealously murderous demigod; and Mozart’s Don Giovanni, a tale of debauchery and damnation.

Madison Opera | Opera in the Park t-shirts
The t-shirts were a huge hit each year. Staff and volunteers got their own free shirts; official sponsor-branded shirts were sold along with other merchandise such as glow sticks and, one year, a limited supply of stage prop Viking helmets. Photo from the park for sales scale.
